AMD 6870 Not Preforming

Hey guys, recently my Antec Kuhler 620 Broke so i sent it back and they replaced it with the Antec Kuhler 650 and after installing that i then turned on my pc and windows stated that it wasn't genuine any more :'(

so the first thing i did was play some dirt 2... and noticed that my fps was about half of what it used to be. I decided to fix windows so i did and it is now genuine and still the fps is still about half as good as it used to be. I also have tested it on dirt 3 and league of legends and they all have at least a 50% decrease in performance.

Any help is appreciated! thank you

This sounds like it could work as i did get some sort of conflict of some sort on my first boot. A message along the lines of (Press Y to edit bios settings, Press N to boot with previous windows settings) i did press n.

something happened to your system somewhere. the cmos reset will only set everything back to when the board was new ( sans a BIOS update if you did one of those ). do it and come back after you run your apps for a bit. ( make sure machine is off when you do it. )

the pin. shut down machine. kill power. move pin for a few second/move pin back. reboot. power up/reboot

No sorry that didnt work, i turned the pc off, moved the pin over to the 2 other pins, started the machine, saved the settings, shut down the machine, moved the pins back and then booted.

no................ shut down...................... move jumper......... wait 3 seconds......... put jumper back in original position....................... restart machine, do your thing.

go to windows update and install what's there......... regardless if you think you need it or not.

how's about this. something happened during the installation process and you're grounding out on the case somewhere? did you try bread boarding?

bread boarding is removing components from the case so nothing can short out ( come in contact with it ). this will help eliminate a suspected problem.

my computer works yours doesn't. I'd do what I needed to do to try and find out what the problem is. if your machine was here I might have been able to figure it out already.
