Any 'graphics core next' gpu will be supported, onboard or not. Greatest gains will be with low end cpu's. It will make very little diff hi end, but some. School is out as to the visual quality and similarity to/compared to DX 11.
And you are correct about "all GCN cards will be supported". However, I wanted to know if support has already been included or not?
AFAIK AMD's own release notes only indicate support for the desktop cards only. If anyone has used Mantle on their laptop I would love to know

I have a Radeon HD8670M with an A10-5750M APU, running the latest 14.4 WHQL drivers.
I just wanted to know if AMD includes Mantle support for laptops as well? Anyone played BF4?
i can't find the latest info about that. did you have Mantle based game? if Mantle support has been added you should be able to enable Mantle with those game
so far only radeon 280+ has mantle enabled but eventually any gcn gpu will be able to use it (integrated, discreet, apu-s everything).
or this is the plan at least.
