my comp keeps locking up

so i built a new computer, but every time i go to play a more graphically demanding game(like ESO or Landmark) it locks up after 10-20 mins and i have to hard restart, but when i play CS:GO or LoL it doesnt lock up. I've checked everything i can think of, I've done a memory stress test which came back clean, all my drivers are up to date, none of the components are getting hotter than 65 c, i don't have a virus, my motherboard doesn't give me a Q-code, my power supplies 12v rail isn't fluctuating, my power supply is plenty powerful, and everything was checked for compatibility. my main concern at this point is i may have received a faulty gpu. any suggestions on what to dowould be much appreciated

mobo:Asus Crosshair v Formula-z
cpu: AMD FX 9590 vishera
cpufan: enermax ets-t40 Black twister
gpu: Evga gtx780ti dual classified
mem: corsair ddr3 4x4gb 1600 vengence
hdd: 2tb seagate hdd
psu: Evga supernova 850 g2
os: Windows 7 64bit sp1

Make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers: http://www.nvidia.com/content/DriverDownload-March2009/confirmation.php?url=/Windows/335.23/335.23-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql.exe&lang=us&type=GeForce

Also update your motherboard drivers and BIOS: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/CROSSHAIR_V_FORMULAZ/HelpDesk_Download/

i have the current drivers for both my gpu and mobo
bios version: 2002
nvidia driver:335.23

Well if you are sure that your graphics card nor your CPU is getting too hot then I am not sure what would be causing the problem.

Can you watch the temperatures while ESO or Landmark is running all the way until it crashes? I have always had issues with overheating on custom builds so I don't trust the temperature readings when I am not doing what I usually do that makes it crash. It is boring but that that is the only thing I can think of.

i have a second monitor set up to watch the temps and loads while i play. the highest temp i've seen the gpu might be 68 but its never broken 70. the cpu runs high 50s under full load and occasionally hits low 60s

Can you test the GPU in another computer? However I have no idea how to troubleshoot beyond that.

ive read this could be an issue with windows 7 sp1. there is apparently a deadlock in the memory sometimes when there is a high page fault/sec and mine when i launched ESO jumped to 20,000 page faults/sec. could this be my problem? should i install the hotfix?

when i launched ESO i got an average of 90 page inputs/sec and 6 page reads/sec before i closed ESO in a short period of time so i think i've narrowed it down to a memory issue. i'm getting a bottleneck in the memory because of the hard faults which is causing the the lockups i believe. id like a second opinion on whether or not the hotfix mentioned above would fix my problem
