I was recently have internet problems (just slow speeds) and called Verizon. They had a tech guy go on my computer from his end on the phone. Now during the conversation I told him I was a gamer and as he was about to change something he paused for a moment & said "shoot you play games right" and I said yes, before he made whatever change it was I asked him if it would mess with my games, (I asked him because he seemed puzzled with his response) and said it shouldn't affect my games and made the change to my computer. Now whenever I go to start up one of my games (far cry 3 is what I'm doing at the moment) it doesn't even launch. I click to start it and nothing happens, no error, nothing. Tried launching multiple games and I get the same result.
So does anyone have any advise please, really need help. This happen I would say about a month ago and the reason it's taking me so long to find out is, I recently had emergency surgery & havnt been able to move around all to much & wasn't in the gaming mood. I'm going to try calling verizon tomorrow to see if they can undo whatever they did but I have a feeling they might not know how. So please if someone can help me out I would be so happy, it would mean a lot.
