Hey guys, quick question. Me, being all merry about my new build forgot the important question is if this monster would FIT.
https://pcpartpicker.com/part/phanteks-cpu-cooler-phtc1...
in a Corsair 540 air.

I've seen a few thread asking about their builds (which included both of these) not too sure if they work together. Can anyone enlighten me?

More about : corsair 540 air phanteks

It'll fit - 540 max size cooler = 170mm
Phantek tc1 dual fans - max height 140.5mm

Look at case and cooler specs

Sorry for the noob question, but what does TC1 mean?
The heatsink dimensions are as follows...
134 x 140 x 160 mm (without fan)
159 x 140 x 171 mm (with Dual Fans)

the 171mm part worried me. (and that partspicker has a sign that says it may not be compatible with my case)

Thats my question haha. Only thing that gives me a hint of doubt would be....http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LgT

This guy has the Corsair 540 Air + Phanteks and it looks like he can close the lid on it. (Hopeful) even though the specs say otherwise. Anyone personally have these parts that can confirm?

Sounds good, really only interested in air cooling though haha. I remember why I bought the phanteks on impulse.

Kitguru apparently says it will fit no problem, but looking at the specs...
Just want to know if anyone has these two parts, and can perhaps let me know.

After assembling my system. The Phanteks PH-TC14PE indeed fits fine. Not sure why ErAnkurPaul selected an answer that is incorrect.

Because the info said it wouldn't fit. Which is wrong - Phanteks or Corasir? You should get them to correct their data.
