How can I get the best out of my nvidia gt740m. I have tried updating my drivers which has helped alot but what else can I do to get the best performance and graphics. I would prefer 30 fps and up. Also my laptop is a Toshiba satellite l50a with 8GB ram, Intel 3630qm @ 2.4GHz turbo boost to 3.4GHz and running games at 1366*768

Solution
You can do the following things:

-turn down the graphics details like texture resolution to medium, shadows to low, turn anti aliasing off.(you would have to gradually step these settings down and see what suits you).

-another thing you can do is to use aditional software like razer game-booster.(what this does is that it switches windows to standard instead of aero theme which helps to take some load of the gpu, it also clsoes some programes running in background to get some load of the cpu aswell. Hence it helps in increasing the performance. )

However I would suggest that you dont overclock your gpu as the cooling in laptops is not very good.

Okay I will try razor gamebooster again i have tried it before but it didn't make to much of a difference but since then I have installed more programs and changed other settings so it may help more now, for stuff like background processes.

Go to Nvidia's website and download Geforce Experience. It will automatically help you find the best settings for any games you have that are supported! Hope that helps!
