Will my PSU support Sapphire r9 280x TRi-x?

Hello everyone, i want to buy this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202095
and i have this PSU :http://www.cel.ro/surse/sursa-fortron-saga-ii-500w-l/
i will need any adaptor?
I know that my PSU won't support video card in full resolution, but for moment i will play in 1200X1024 resolution, until i will buy a new monitor.
I want to know if the PSU is enough for this card at 1200X1024 resolution.

Your 500w PSU is not powerful enough for that graphics card, manufacturer's recommended minimum is 750w PSU for a single card, so even allowing for that being over-generous you'll still need at least 650w PSU.

The resolution you intend to use makes no difference to the PSU wattage requirement.

Absolutely not. That PSU could not power that GPU if it was the only thing in the system. That's a 220W PSU and if you try it expect it to either explode or catch on fire.

Your www.pcgarage links won't open for me, only the last link (corsair.com) will open.

However, I can see that the second link is to a Seasonic 650w PSU. Seasonic is regarded as the best in the business, with Corsair running a close second (most of the PSU techs on this forum would agree with that).

So I recommend the Seasonics 650w as the first choice, with the Corsair modular 750w as second choice if the Seasonic one is out of stock.
