Hello,

I have an MSI G-43 z87 motherboard which claims to only support Xfire and not SLI. I have an nVidia card and was looking into SLI so was just wondering if there is any way to run SLI on this motherboard. I have heard of some form of software work around but am unsure on any exact methods.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Its not supported by the motherboard. You could try - http://www.overclock.net/t/601955/sli-on-xfire-motherbo...
But it could result in your mobo being useless. I wouldn't. I'd get another mobo. In fact I wouldn't have bought that mobo with that restriction in the first place.

There are some tweaks you could do to get around it,but if you're unexperienced, you're going to ruin your motherboard.
Just get another motherboard that supports SLI.That would be your best bet.

Makes sense, thanks for the fast response, might look into the workaround, and yeh I regret my choice of motherboard after the fact, kind of rushed into buying it.

Thanks
