Hi

I have this TV Tuner Card

gadmei USB TV Stick UTV382E

I have attached this with this Antenna.
The TV Card is not picking up any channel when it scans for channels.
I bought this card from Asia.
What could be the issues?

Is this an Analog Card not being able to pickup Digital Channels from the Air?
or what?
if thats the case, which Card I should Buy now to See the Free Channels in Toronto?

Thanks ALL

I don't know what is current TV standard in Canada, but if it is digital / ATSC, your card does not mention anything about that. Stick with known names - Diamond Multimedia, Hauppage etc. And make sure you know what is being broadcast in Toronto.

Thanks for your reply.
That is what I guess as well.
OTA ( Over the Air) Channels here in Toronto are definitely Digital, else this card would pick up some channels.
that is why to play the Local Free Channels ( no need to mention that Cable channels are surely Digital) older TV's require a Digital to Analog Converter box.
Research on the web for the last 2 days has given me that conclusion.

I have even mailed Gadmei's Support section about if that card would be compatible for Canadian frequencies or not. they are silent.

I will go and buy a Digital Hybrid USB TV Tuner card. Hauppauge is a very good brand. I had a Card back in 2006-2007 named Pinnacle. it was so good. It wasn Internal PCI card tho.

Any other suggestion for TV Cards?
I think I need a Hybrid TV Tunar card.
