Hay guys, new to this thread, thought of signing up cause just reading this site posts helped me out alot....so here is my question....

I am looking to upgrade my board from GA-H77M-D3H to MSI INTEL Z87-GD65 Gaming board.....is that board a good or bad choice?? Which boards is better but in same price range?? Also, i want to upgrade my computer case....which case would you guys recommend for the board i want to upgrade to?? Also in future i am looking to upgrade my CPU to a i7

My specs are
GTX 770oc 4gig WINDFORCE
Intel Core i5 3470k 3.20GHZ
8GIG DDR 3

Also guys keep in mind when you give me a good case for my pc, that im planning to upgrade to core i7 and that it should also fit my huge GPU....cause this GPU is really huge

Solution
their is no need for you to spend silly money on the Asus hero,

MSI have the best gaming mobo out for the new intel Haswell CPU's.
I would go for the cheaper MSI Z87-GD43, MSI have made the most optimised mobo for the Haswell CPU's the benchmarks have proven that!

there is limited option on z77 but this will fit. no need to pay more, i would prefer it over the msi. as for the case i like the corsair quality and can fit even 2x770 , even 240mm radiator cpu water coolers, has nice cable management and intake dust filters

IVY BRIDGE CPU(LGA 1155) WONT FIT ON Z87 AS IT IS HASWELL BRIDGE(LGA 1150)
Intel Core i5 3570k 3.5GHZ - IVY

Hay Edward, thanx for the quick reply, i did check the specs, and it seems like the MSI Z87-GD43 outshines at certain specs than GD65. And seeing as im going to use my computer fore hardcore gaming, the GD43 will be a better choice according to the specs where it shines out the GD65??? And i think it would compliment my GTX770oc 4gig Windforce and my i5 better than the GD65....or am i missing something??

there is 3470 or 3570k .(confirm through cpu z) if you have the later you can take an z77 mobo in order to gain o/c ability and no need to upgrade really to i7. the first one cant o/c and better stay with h77 you already have and upgrade only when you can get a i7 4770k or devils canyon i7 4790k and pair it with the new z79 mobos that have already arrived.

also i got the 3470k, which means i cannot overclock, and seeing as i am going to upgrade my motherboard i might as well also upgrade my cpu seeing as it cannot overclock. The thing is i want to buy a motherboard ment for gaming and thats good for gaming.....my current is good, i am not gonna argue with that, but i know i can get better

why the asrock over msi?? only because the asrock has got pci and the msi dont?? also, the msi heatsink looks more up to the task for gaming than the asrock??

oky guys you are all helping me out alot now, but now i really dont know which one would be best here.....which moherboard to got to.....i dont like the MSI one for it does not have any pci slots for a sound card or whatever the case might be.....the asrock on the otherhand im very afraid of as on other sites its got alot of mixed reviews wich mostly is bad reviews than good....and now the asus maximus???......alot of desicions and choices to be made, but all so difficult

how will this asrock fair
