Hello everyone.
I am currently looking to upgrade my GPU to something more substantial than I currently have.
My budget I have set up for the GPU would be ~$180 or ~£110 somewhere within that region.

My specs as follows:
GPU - nVidia GeForce GT240 ( extremely outdated ).
CPU - Intel Pentium G2030 3.0Ghz Dual Core
MOBO - Asrock H61M
RAM - 12Gb 1333Mhz
PSU - 450W
Screen - 1280x1024 ( possible getting a better, slightly larger one in the near future. )

Games I play that I would like to possibly play max out graphics wise are:
Skyrim, Battlefield, Assassins Creed, Call Of Duty and Arma 3 but obviously on low settings.

I have looked into the AMD Radeon HD 7770 1Ghz Edition and it seems tempting but would like some more input on some other options that someone has used hands on.

For $180 you can buy an r7-265 which is the updated version of hd7850. This card is much better then a 7770.

FYI the updated version of the hd7770 is the r7-250.

Now with that said, if your 450w psu is not a quality psu then it will most likely not handle it, as the r7-265 requires a 6pin pci-e power plug.

If not, then you should still be able to use an r7-260x (updated hd7790).

The PSU came in a bundle with the case and a really good price at the time so it is more likely it is not a very reliable PSU. The r7-265 does seem to outperform the HD7770 in every way besides power consumption so if a new PSU is all I need, then it seems to be the best GPU for my money. Thanks Boosted!

No problem.

Seasonic, xfx, antec, and corsair are all good brands. The corsair CX series are proving to be unreliable after a few months-year so stay away from that series. If you live in area that has newegg, the Rosewill Hive and Capstone series PSUs are also pretty good.
