We have a Mac OS 7 and a Seagate GoFlex Free Agent Desk external HD. We have all our photos on this Hard Drive. Today, it won't light up. It is DEAD. We have tried switching cables, and adapters with no luck. The base by itself will get power, but when we try to put the HD on to the base, the power button goes off immediately. Nothing lights up. Now that I see how many people have had the same problem, I wish I had never purchased a Seagate product. Is there any way to retrieve these irreplaceable photos?

you will have to exit the drive from the case and try an usb to sata adapter or try to connect it to an computer to se if the drive spins again and be recoverable.
