Im looking to purchase one ultra wide screen monitor. The problem is I would like it to be more than 60hz. As I have worked on both 60hz and 144hz before and its a huge difference between the two.

I havent found any ultrawide screens with a refresh rate bigger than 60hz maybe you guys can point me in the right direction or suggest a few.

Currently I am looking at this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236348 but that one I believe is only 60hz or maybe can go up to 75hz something like that.

My dilemma is I dont know if I should go for the ultra wide screen with 60hz as I can still game on it, and working in photoshop and sony vegas would be easier. My second option would be to get a 27in 1920x1080 144hz monitor which would be super smooth and much better in game.

To be honest I would like to have a ultra wide screen with at least 120hz refresh rate. Any one know of any ?

I don't think there are any UWHD above 60hz. Those sizes of monitors are so rare that there are only a handful of models to pick from.

I don't know how much you are willing to spend, but ASUS is releasing the ROG Swift soon which is 27" 1440p, 120hz, g-sync, 3D capable, 1ms repsonse time. It's ~$700 though when released.

You could also try a korean QNix 1440p IPS monitor. They are usually able to be overclocked to 85hz+. If anything ever happens to it though, it will be very expensive to ship it back for replacement/repair.

Here is what it looks like: http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-QX2710-Evolution-LED-Monitor/dp/B00BUI44US/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399920267&sr=8-1&keywords=qnix+evolution

hmm the asus one looks interesting, I like that its gona have gsync. Gona keep that one in mind. Yeah i already have a korean monitor its a yamakasi catleap q270 its 2560x1440 27in but only 60hz I think this one was suppose to be able to overclock as well but that was a no go. The screen and bezel are also glossy as hell, I hate it. lol.

Damn really sucks that they dont have any ultrawide screens with more than 60hz :( 60hz feels so sluggish and rough compared to 144hz. Also feels like my eyes get tired faster on a 60hz than on a 144 one.

Other than its a TN panel for 800 bucks :( like every one else said thats a disappointment. Still should be pretty sweet though. These hard decisions to make, well I dont have an nvida card so gsync is out of the question for me lol. I might try that ultra wide asus. I play games but Im not a hard core gamer that spends hours upon hours, I need the screen to get more things done and multitask. Just that 60hz smh. Well thanks for your help.
