RAM not compatible with Motherboard??

Just built a PC and when I boot it up, the fans and hard drive spin, but the monitor is black. (yes, it's on) I have a ASRock Z77 Extreme4 mother board and I bought G.SKILL Ripjaws Series Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL. Maybe they are not compatible??

If it boots up, the ram should be fine. Make sure you plug the video cable to the gpu outputs if you have a gpu wlse it is the motherboard.
