I have a pretty overpowered graphics card for gaming.. So I'm wondering if I'm going to be OK running it with my CPU.
Specs are as follows:
GPU: GeForce GTX 760 2GB GDDR5
CPU: AMD FX Vishera 4300 3.8Ghz (Overclocked to 4.0) quad-core octa-thread
RAM: 8GB 1333Mhz (Can't remember the brand, sorry.)
Motherboard: Biostar a960d+ (Complete shit, I know. Upgrading as soon as posisble.)
PSU: Corsair CX600M (Not the highest wattage, but it's enough to power everything in my system.)

Most definitely in CPU chokepoints.

Yes it will , time for a new board and CPU.

A much better match would be something like the GTX 750 or Radeon 260/260x.

A faster CPU would handle the CPU chokepoints better (higher minimum FPS), but at least with your fast GPU you can push higher resolutions, higher detail settings, and higher average FPS overall, even if it is not optimal.

AMD CPUs don't do quite as well as their Intel counterparts when it comes to gaming, so yes, compared to an i5/i7, your CPU will hold back your framerates a little. Luckily though, the forthcoming "DirectX 12" is going to help reduce much of the CPU bottlenecks, so for newer games, a weak CPU would be a lesser issue.

Alright well I guess the 760 is a no go.. Makes me sad.. It's such a good card :/

I do have two other graphics cards though! :D
So one more question for those of you that see this. Would a Radeon 7700 bottleneck it? I highly doubt it, but I just want to double check.

EDIT:
What would be a good AMD CPU to go with this graphics card? (AM3+)

Much appreciated!

Unless the game can make use of more than 4 cores, the rest of the AM3+ CPUs will be about the same.
