Hey folks, got a question for you here. Playing with a samsung np905s3g, and its driving me nuts. The laptop will not maintain internet connections for more than a few seconds using either the wired connection via the samsung dongle or via the qualcomm wireless adaptor.

Right now, in the house, its the only device acting up (pc's tablets, phones, streaming boxes etc) are all fine, no drops no issues. the Laptop is the special one.

Tried it via auto config and dns. Tried alt ip from a ip chunk that router had not handed out from its range.

Right now, only via phone hotspot is the device staying connected, which further ticks me off as the phones are piggy backing their connection via the house wifi that the laptop is wont handle.

Ideas?

So even when directly connected via an ethernet cable to the router you are still getting dropped constantly? My first guess would be to re-install the drivers, but given the fact you are fine when connected via the mobile hotspot I am confused. Do you have the ability to try the samsung dongle on a different device? Have you tried connecting to a network other than your home? Perhaps a drive down to the local Starbucks to see if you have any more luck.

Hey sirsub, ill try the sam lap out in the field tomorrow. So far it LOVES the hotspot from the iphone 5c and the samsung galaxy 5. Will not lose internet access from either. I dont have another device to try the dongle on, but im thinking it might be something with the home router that causing the issue. Using a netgear R6100
