Option one, wait for my mother to find the start-up disk that supposedly was included to fix the issue. (Vista)
Option Two, use the Windows 7 CD I was waiting to use on a custom built I was hoping to get done within a couple years...
The issue was that the System Restore wouldn't work to restore to Factory Default via the F8 menu nor the OS. I saw a video on someone that said "Do this if the system restore doesn't work" making the recovery drive the active drive. well now the comp says there's no OS on the drive and wont start up.
I was going to reset from factory anyways but the question really is, will the Win 7 OS be accepted by the computer? if it will, I might just go that route and buy a new OS disk for later use...
OR, is there a way to fix the issue with the drive? there is only one HDD so the regular memory and the recovery are on the same drive I guess...
Can I use the Win 7 as just a quick fix to reset the drive back to the correct one? but then the issue remains, there is no factory restore options....
