Best Overall GPU

Looking for the best graphics card for gaming. No budget really so go with what you think is the overall best. I'm getting a 4670k CPU so try not to make it bottleneck the 4670k and one monitor. I might overclock it or if it comes super clocked that's fine too.

At 4 k resolution, the 290x moves up.

I wouldn't do the EVGA Superclocked. EVGA Classified / MSI Lightnings are in a class by themselves..... after that at the 780 Ti level the MSI N Gaming series is the clear champ..... at the 780 either the Asus or MSI models. Haven't had that many 290x's to play with but best I have done so far is 16% OC benchmark stable .... 12% fully stable. With the Asus DCII / MSI N Gaming 780s, get 25% consistently. haven't done a 780 Ti build yet tho..... few of my users toyed with the idea but went twin 780s instead of the single 780 Ti in the end.

But a 780ti in SLI would be the best.

Not really, Getting as close to that 144 refresh rate will be nice (meaning as close to 144 fps in games), A 780ti and THAT monitor is not overkill. If you had another 60 Hz monitor then yes I would suggest a 780.
