Brand New First Time Build, booted successfully the 1st time but not booting since...

So basically the story goes, this is my first buld and when I put all of the parts together they worked fine on the initial boot. Then I think I might have made a mistake. In my ignorance, I accidentally set my motherboard's BIOS to boot from an attached SSD that has nothing on it. After trying to reboot the whole system, it will turn on for maybe half a second then turn right back off with no beeps from the speaker. I tried physically resetting the BIOS on my motherboard many times but still get the same response. I even tried taking the small battery that connects to the BIOS out and reseating it but to no avail. Now I've completely breadboxed my build so that only the motherboard, PSU, CPU, and RAM are hooked up but still I get the same result. Sometime when I try clearing the BIOS I can get the fans on the CPU and PSU to go continually but I still get no monitor output or beeps from the onboard speaker.

Any ideas whatsoever on what could be causing this?

Like I said this is my first build so there's no way to swap out parts to test my individual components, but I feel like the fact that it booted the 1st time has to show that it at least was working. It may also be worth noting that on the initial boot the only storage I had attached is the SSD and the RAM (I even forgot to plug in my optical drive to load the OS).Thanks for any help and I'll list all of my parts...

MOBO - Asus H87M-PRO (Micro-ATX)
CPU - Intel i5 4570
GPU - Gigabyte GTX 760
PSU - Rosewell Capstone 650
HDD - 2 x 1 TB Seagate
SSD - Sandisk UltraPlus 128 GB
RAM - Hyper Blu 8 GB

Solution
Yes, it will be either one has problem, if you don't have chance to test the cpu or MB, then return both of them and get the new parts.

Ok I tried it with just the CPU and MOBO and still nothing. I tried the paperclip test with the PSU and it seems to be working fine so its gotta be the CPU or Motherboard. Would you recommend that I try and return those items? This is my first time building so I don't know the rules on returning and whatnot. Thanks.
