Hey there, this is my first time building a computer. I am a hardcore gamer and would like something that can run games like Skyrim, Titanfall, Destiny, and other demanding games like those on high graphics. I would like to keep the price around or under $700. When not gaming I will be multitasking with this computer as well, meaning I will have multiple browsers open, programs in the background running, files downloading, and streaming being done.
Other specifications: I would like 6 or more USB 3.0 ports, 1 TB memory, HDMI port, Optical Drive (possibly Blu-Ray if cheap), good cooling system. I want to be able to run games smoothly, load quickly, and not worry about overheating or running slowly.

Thanks for the heads up.
I do have windows 7 and 8. I live in the U.S. No preferences on companies and I do not live near a microcenter.

Hi, thanks for posting, but you're missing some important information.
First, where you live. $700 USD, CAD, AUD, NZD? Is it taxes in?
Do you have a preference to brands (Intel, AMD, Nvidia, WD, Samsung etc)?
Preferences to retailers? Do you live near a Microcenter?
Do you need a copy of Win 7 included in that $700?

That looks promising. I am fairly new to computers and their specs and I have only used Intel processors before; how do they stack up against AMD. I know its not much but I have an i7-2670QM 2.20 GHz now, how big of an advancement will the new processor be?

You can never compare a laptop CPU with a desktop. I would compare this to the Intel I5 4670K, which is almost the most popular CPU out there. I have the 8320, and its perfect. It will be pretty big
