Hello Tom's Hardware Community. I've been having a minor issue with my mouse for quite some time and have finally managed to get off my lazy butt and do something about it. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any reference to a similar problem through Google searches, so I've decided to throw the issue to the experts (psst that's you guys).

My mouse (Logitech M110) only seems to work in 2 of my 6 USB ports. The problems seems to be that the other 4 ports don't power the device (as the laser doesn't come on when it's plugged into them). I know these USB ports work because other peripherals operate just fine in them. I've tried re-installing the drivers as well, but that didn't change the outcome. Hoping someone more technically knowledgeable than myself can help my resolve this issue. Thanks.

Solution
Never mind, I found a solution. I went into Device Manager and noticed that the driver for my SM Bus Controller was missing, so I re-installed the Chipset for my motherboard and, presto, now it works in the other 4 ports.
