I have no sound in two of my games, but it seems to work everywhere else.

Hi! I'm using a Razer Kraken 7.1 headset on a Win7 64 bit pc, and discovered today that I can't get my audio working in either Alpha Protocol or The Secret World. The latter is a little odd, as the sound was working fine as recently as a week or two ago.

All other sounds work fine- I can hear anything through my browser, audio works in other games such as The Sims 3 and Starbound. I can successfully use 7.1 surround. I wasn't really sure where to start with this, but I've already updated the drivers for my GTX 580, reinstalled Razer Synapse, and made sure I have Direct X up to date. I unfortunately don't have speakers to test if the two game's sound works correctly through them.

The only other relevant information I can think of is that I have onboard sound (EVGA P67 SLI) and that strangely enough, I also don't get audio when trying to configure my 7.1 sound via Razer Synapse. Nothing shows up in Razer Synapse's mixer tab either, but I've honestly never looked at or used it when sound was working normally.

:) If anyone has any suggestions or can think of any useful data I can provide, it would be very much appreciated!

Bump w/update!

A newer game called Archeage instantly resets my sound to bare minimum when I try to raise the volume in-game, and I have to assume that it's linked to the issue. Maybe the game is having the same problem trying to communicate with my headset? I'm not sure.

Something I forgot to include in the original post is that, initially, Skype wasn't working with my headset either! It continued to say that it couldn't recognize my sound card until I re-installed it via device manager. I've noticed since making my first post that, if I plug another playback device into my computer, it will at least pick up the sound in the Volume Mixer, where my Razer Kraken 7.1 will not pick up the sound on the Volume Mixer in applications where the sound does not work!

Any help would be appreciated, and I'd like to stress that my headset is most definitely not COMPLETELY fried because I'm able to pick up sound in quite a few games! Just not a lot of others.
