Im thinking of building my first pc gaming pc, I was going to just buy a pre-built one, but I found building was cheaper and had all the specs I want!
I am a teenager and will have help from my dad who knows a little about gaming computers.

If you have help and do your research, you'll be fine. You'll also learn a lot.

There's lots of guides - Google. And if you have a budget, use and any particular ideas, come back her and we'll help you off to a good start with a parts list and evaluation. Try Part Picker to get started. It helps make sure the components are compatible.

OK, think I'm gonna go with the i5, looked at some reviews and it looks pretty good.

Alright good choice. For gaming the i5 has the advantage over AMD's FX 8350 in the majority of games since it has strong single threaded performance.
