CX500 psu died

Ok i went to do some errands..and i was wanting to finish Dark Souls 2..So i was out abo..So about 3 hours and when i came home my pc didnt wanna start up.So i started to investigate..Turns out my psu died after having it for 4 months.Why did it die? i RMAed it and i just shiped it out

intel i 5 4670
8 gigs of ram
1 tb of storage

That is why I have 3 cheap builds since all the quality components have excellent warranties but warranty turnaround time is horrible. Oh yeah, don't get mad at yourself if you didn't notice the express method where they require a credit card number but they ship an unit out to you first and then you ship back the faulty unit. I have the CX430 and the XFX 550. The CX 430's fan was going at full speed for a while and making strange sounds but I found that it was my own fault since I didn't align the PSU holes with the case holes since there is that piece of foam padding on top of the case so I have to compress the PSU against the piece of foam while installing.
