Is this comparison correct?

Hi I was just looking at this comparison between the G3420 and the i7 4770k to show the difference and think it's not right how close the pentium is to the i7. So is it correct? Thanks

As one of the CPU's are always set to 1 this means that if the i7 is 2 it would have double the power of the pentium. The pentium is not a bad singlecore CPU though.

CPU World is often pretty rubbish. Synthetics don't always tell the whole story.

It depends on what you're doing. If you're doing single threaded tasks, they're fairly similar. However, if you run something well threaded, you get ~2-3x the performance.
