hi guys i heave a god system Pentium D 3.4 ghz 945 dual core 3gb ram and xfx geforce 9800 gt my fps drops very fast somtimes goes to 40 but it stays to 25 how to fix it

1. Run an anti-virus/anti-rookit in case a virus is causing it
2. Open task manager and check for other processes running
3. Using the performance monitor built into windows check to see whether you have space in your RAM when playing. It is possible that your RAM is full and that is what is causing the drops.

Actually, CS GO is ridiculously easy to run. He should be getting much better performance than that. It only recommends a 9600 and a 2.0Ghz core 2 duo.

When the C2Ds came out even the slowest one could beat even the fastest P4 in games. As games have got more demanding, I'm sure they have fell even farther back.

Hmm... In that case he should probably run a CPU boosting program to cull unnecessary tasks. Or just replace his CPU, since it's weak enough that a much better CPU that should fit his socket can be had for $50.
