my hp laptop lost wireless signal but other laptops in house pick it up no problem

this problem is nothing to do with router or distance from router as other laptops in the house pick up the signal the laptop that won't pick up the signal is less than 12 months old. have tried taking batterie out and back in again when its switched off and unplugged but this makes no difference.
 
Solution
Try deleting existing network connection on your laptop, then create a fresh one.
To delete existing connection on Windows 7:

Control Panel >> Network & Sharing Centre
In the left pane, click "Manage Wireless Networks"
Highlight your network name.
Click "Delete" and OK to confirm.

Now click the 'back' arrow (top left) to return to the main window.
Click "Connect to a network".
