Every PC game I play tends to have these grey panels, sometimes stripes of grey and black, they have shadows and their sizes vary. It covers up some areas of the game and it flickers and goes away while my character moves. it comes back when I look at a certain section, though. It's hard to describe it without having a picture, I know. but when I try to take a screenshot it just captures a black screen. Please help me. It's very disruptive, it happens 99% of the time and I've had enough of it.

Sounds like artifacts, possibly texture memory errors.
Your card may be overheating, or the RAM may be damaged.
Do as eatmypie suggested above and under-clock your card and see if this improves.
Also check to see if the GPU cooling fans are working.

They ARE artifacts. Thanks. I've been looking for the right term for it all this time. It doesn't show up outside video games and it isn't as intense as the ones I saw at Google images.
