You are better to remove the GPU driver and amd ccc first, get this "Driver Sweeper" http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweeper.html first you clean up all the GPU driver in safe mode with the old GPU, then shut down the PC, install the new GPU, then install the GPU driver either from AMD or NVIDIA website.
