Hello guys, I am new to this website as I have just signed up. I found this template to use when asking about a GPU so I thought it would be the best way to get the correct recommendations.
APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: No rush..
BUDGET RANGE: I am not sure what a high end card runs, but $400 I'm "comfortable" paying... Anything over that, I will consider. Don't hold back!
USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: I am looking to start PC gaming.. I just got done building my computer (specs will be listed). I want to be able to play Watchdogs at the best settings, maybe some WoW? Never played it but it looks interesting.. I would like to be able to play the best games at the best levels of graphics. I will be using it for Blu-Ray movies as well. I also do some work in photoshop, I do coding and work a lot in Dreamweaver and Xcode. I am not sure if that is more CPU than GPU but thought I would put it out there so there are no questions to it..
CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: I currently do not have a GPU, I am currently using the graphics that are supplied by my CPU. My PSU is Corsair CMPSU-650TX 650-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply
OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: My CPU: Intel Core i5-4430 Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.0 GHz 6 MB Cache LGA 1150. My Motherboard is: Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H. My memory is: Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 16GB Kit (8GBx2) ( I plan on buying the other 16gb soon). The monitor I will be using is: LG 21:9 Ultrawide.
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I am located in the United States. I am in New York. I usually go to Best buy so I can price match things I find on Amazon which is my favorite website.
PARTS PREFERENCES: I prefer what is best for my taste.
OVERCLOCKING: I am VERY interested in overclocking. I don't want a card that would have to be constantly overclocked to run what I wanted just to say a few bucks.
MONITOR RESOLUTION: The monitor I am going to be picking up is listed above... But the resolution is 2560x1080.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: (e.g.: Need to have better than stock cooling; Want a card with a lifetime warranty; Must run Crysis 3 with full AA on a three-display setup, etc.) I left this description in here because I do not know what "full AA" means. I may eventually do more than 1 monitor, but I doubt it will be any time soon... BTW I currently have Mavericks, Windows 8 and Ubuntu on my system if that makes any bit of a difference.
Thank you in advance guys!
