I just installed 8GB of G.Skill Sniper Ram and CoD:Ghosts didn't detect it? Also my pc says only 3.98 gb can be used?

So i installed my ram turned my pc on and went right to cod ghosts and it says i dont meet the required amount of RAM witch is 8 and i have 8 in my system? So what the heck do i need to reinstall my game? Also my pc system info says only 3.98GB can be used im not sure why it says that Help please.

A
You may want to test a couple of things.

First - try each memory module (assuming you got a 2x4Gig) in the first slot of the MB - and go into bios to verify it is being recognized. If they both pass - move on.

Second - put them in the correct banks for your MB (generally color coded) and see if 4 or 8GB is recognized. If not - swap positions. If it continues to fail - try the other color bank with both positions.
