CPU-Z detects 8GB ram but system issn't using it?

So i just upgraded my ram to 8 GB and i tried to play call of duty ghosts but it says only 4.1 of ram and i can't run ghosts. All i did when i instaled the ram was turn off my pc took my old ones out then put theese in and turned it on and its not working... is a stick dead?

try with one stick at the time on the first slot you may have to enter bios to see if system detect it as it should .

hello... did you save the settings and re-boot in your BIO's?
What Windows version are you running? x64?
What does the task manager show/report?

First off, we need more information. What kind of motherboard and processor are you running, and exactly how are your memory modules installed? Are you running with 2 4GB modules, 4 2GB modules, or some other combination?
