This is my first PC build, and I'm really not sure what I'm doing. I trying to build a decent gaming PC, and I've given it my best shot.

If anyone could take a look and maybe tell me where I'm going wrong (because I'm sure I'm messing up somewhere). I came in a little over budget but not sure what I can trim. If you could point out any obvious bottle necks or anything like that it would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Minor updates. Changed to 2x8GB, a case with better airflow, and a better PSU. Not much you can really shave off... What budget level do you need to get down to?

Well, I was hoping to spend a little less, but that's no big deal. What do you mean by better PSU. Why is this one wrong as to not repeat the mistake. Thanks.

- 16GBs of RAM is pointless for gaming. 8GBs is more than enough and cheaper.
- Better GPU would be in order. (Maybe GTX770 if you can).
- You could go cheaper with the Motherboard IF the build goes over budget, if not then sure go with it.
- There are much cheaper cases that are good enough but again if budget isn't a problem then it's fine.
- If you need to you could also go with a cheaper PSU, but make sure it's still a good one (Maybe silver certified)

Hi, I stumbled upon this question, as I am planning to build my own PC within the next 2 months. Could you PLEASE give me some examples of GOOD pc cases that are cheaper than this NZXT one? I am a newbie when it comes to this kind of stuff. Whenever I search for good PC cases, they are really expensive, and when I search for cheap cases, they have very bad reviews from people about their bad quality. You seem to know what you're talking about, so maybe you could give me some examples of one or two cases that are good, yet affordable for low budgets? A reply would be greatly appreciated :)
