use adobe premiere and after effects for video editing, much of which will be 4k. goal is to have smooth playback of 4k + keep rendering times as low as possible.

That looks good. Would this be expandable to run dual quadros?

Finally, how do the titan and quadro compare for editing 4k? Do either offer specific upgrades in terms of performance? Not gaming on this setup. Will only be used for video editing and playback.
 
i picked the xeon over the 3930 because I'm not sure if you intend to overclock, it has eec memory support if you need it, and its also cheaper. also it allowed for a titan 6gb in the build. I'm not sure again what you need as far as gpu support though. If you need advanced support, and double precision calculation plus error checked vram then go with a quadro. If not, a titan will work more fine.

Absolutely! I hope you do when you get enough extra money. Also, a quadro will be better for rendering because it is designed with that in mind and has much better driver support. Basically, it's a similar GPU, but lower clock speeds to run 24/7 and stay cool/quiet. A quadro is guranteed to work, a Titan, not so much. Also, dual Quadros are much more ideal and compatible than Titans.
