Hello There,

- Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
- Power Supply: Corsair Professional Series HX650 80 plus Gold
- Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Hero
- CPU: Intel Core i5 4670k 3.4GHz - Going to overclock it to 4.2GHz
- CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
- HDD: WD Black 1TB SATA-III
- SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SATA-III
- Optical Drive: ASUS DRW-24F1ST

This is a list of components I'm getting as a new PC very soon, inf act I already . I'm actually pretty sure there are no compatibility issues but since it's a very expensive build I wanted to make sure there are no problems at all. I checked http://pcpartpicker.com/ but I still want the communities opinion! Also please tell me any suggestions on what components I could change for example. I already ordered my Case so that's the only thing I can't change.

Glad if you could help,
Fivos G.

Solution
You should be able to use any of these ram, your mobo supports speeds up to 3300mhz.
Why one is cheaper than the other is up to the shops. The 1866 ripjaws have a promo code with which they are cheaper now.
Gskill is well supported in the compatibility list from asus, just because a certain type isn't in there doesn't that mean you can't use them.

I don't have money for a GPU at the moment! I'll get that in 2 months. But I think it's either going to be GTX 770 or GTX 780. I was thinking about Gigabyte's overclocked models since they look like they have a nice airflow. For now though, I'll only use intel integrated graphics till I get that!

Your RAM is plenty fine, there's no performance difference in games from 1600 to 1866, 2133 and beyond unless you're on an APU--faster memory only helps in programs like AutoCAD.

But yeah, sounds like a hell of a system especially once you throw a graphics card in there ;) Check out eBay--they have used Radeon 290's for $2-250 right now. I just picked one up and it works flawlessly, if not a little loud. Still, it beats the pants off the 770 and 780 for half the cost.

Thanks for the information but just wanted to say I'm not an AMD fan (I had both AMD and Nvidia) I think their drivers are buggy, GPUs are loud & kind of overpriced but that's just my opinion of course!

I DISAGREE. THIS IS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE.

just kidding. The new AMD's do improve with that. I believe Nvidia gets along better with Intel, or is that just rumors and what not. I'd suggest the MSI Twin Frozr series for any gpu. EVGA is also very good and has GREAT customer service as well(form what i've heard)

The HAF 932 Advancced case has 2 USB 3.0 Cables, one for the top USB panels and one for the two bottom extra USB panels. Do you guys know if there is a way I can plug both to my Mobo?

I know but unfortunately I don't want to change the Hero since I'm very excited for it! I was just hoping there was another way to connect 2 usb 3.0 headers!

I'm not really that sure but as I saw in videos it comes with an extra panel type of thing. Anyway the courier company called me and it's coming tonight, I'm gonna check how many usb cables it has! If it has two I might as well not use one of them. Except if there is method with splitters or something.

Guys I got one more thing actually, I'm thinking of going with the ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO (I saw it has VGA port and my monitor is VGA) instead of the VI HERO because weirdly enough, it's cheaper here. I don't know how and why. Anyway what do you guys think? Is the MAXIMUS VII HERO BETTER?
