Hey guys, just curious if its worth me trying to overclock ? i have absoulutely no clue what to do or how to overclock or if its even possible with my specs. please can i have some advice you lovely people :D

AMD FX 8350 4 ghz stock
Corsair hydro H60 water cooler
16 GB RAM 1600 mhz 8 gb x 2 sticks
MSI 970A-G46
corsair cx 600 psu

Cpu temp is 33 c at idle
Cpu temp after running prime95 for 30 minutes - 55 c

Amd overdrive says my thermal margin is 17.4 c
VID 1.3625

I would say that you can go ahead and hit 4.3. That board is NOT STABLE for overclocking, and here is why. First off, I should say that I own one, and I have/do overclock on it with an FX8350. The reason why it is not stable is the lack of quality phase transistors in the power phase relay. Adding to the instability, the board uses a 4+1 power phase design (phases being circuits), whereas all good overclocking boards use 8+2, eight for the CPU, 2 for the North/South bridge. I have TONS of inflow fans blowing near the VRMs, and they are still hot, and some are still exposed, meaning the heat sink does not cover them. I have stopped doing overclocks that are past the turbo frequency because I am afraid I will blow a transistor and damage the CPU irreparably. Put a fan on the VRM heat sink, then leave the case open and touch the heat sink from time to time, making sue it is not hot to the touch. I don't want you damaging your computer per my advice.

so i mite as well just use amd overdrives auto clock then lol? as that gets 4.2-4.3 and i dont want to break anything so its not worth pushing it?

Sure, that would work, I have done it myself to see what kind of a job it will do. Just keep an eye on those VRMs!

my god you are so right lol.so the oc genie thats on the motherboard put the pcu at 4.3 ghz. this was giving the last 2 cores of the cpu hardware errors in prime95,just used amd overdrive instead which put it at 4.2 and getting the errors again lol my god this motherboard lol

The reason for the OC Genie error is that it does not boost the voltage, and the cores number 6 and 7 start to have errors.

same with amd overdrive though.should i tick the voltage boost button i wonder?

Yep. Thats what ya gotta do! Updated info says FX CPUs will start throttling at 70C, so in overdrive, don't let the thermal margin get to 0C.
