So I ordered new pc parts for my new build and I was wondering if I can reuse my old hard drive from my previous dell computer. It is a seagate 500 GB Hard drive. I also ordered a new copy of windows 7 since I heard you can't boot up the hard drive with a previous oem operating system. So will it work with my old hard drive with my new copy of windows 7?

Yea OEM Windows is tied to the motherboard. You can make it work fine with your new setup, simply format it or make a new partition.
