What is confusing me patrick is the core is supposed to be 941mhz and boost to 1006 , but it actually boosts to 1071 (+65 boost on STOC)

during benchmark:

This points to the OC edition is identical to the AMP version 1006 MHz (base) 1072 MHz (boost) - with the only difference being 200mhz on the memory on the OC version than the AMP version?

That jump in GPU clock speed is probably due to Nvidia's GPU Boost, which occurs at the hardware level. Now, your card is rated to boost to 1006Mhz at a minimum due to the gpu chip bin those cards were selected from. The AMP version is probably higher clocked and stable gpu chip bins that will boost to a minimum of 1071Mhz. Now depending on your chip lottery it may boost well higher due to Nvidia Boost....but at a minimum it's guaranteed 1006 Mhz.

Just got my Zotac 780ti OC today, and I have it at 1185Mhz stable in BF4 Ultra 1920x1080.

Hey snekyasian, I was wondering if you could help me with the overclocking of my Zotac 780ti OC? Since you've done it before on the exact same card? I'm running at stock speeds with a core clock at 941mhz but I'd really like to get an extra boost in performance when playing far cry, maybe an additional 10 FPS or so, because currently I'm just about reaching 60fps when I enable all the Nvidia special quality settings. What program did you use to overclock? I've got 2 versions of Zotac Firestorm (version 1 and 2) as well as MSI Afterburner.

Cheers!

I honestly had some issues using Firestorm, so I use afterburner. I increased core voltage(mv) +75 and my power limit to 106. Then adjusted my core clock +20 at a time. Using bench software like Valley or Firestrike helped but def got more accurate results by testing in game. Eventually you'll end up with an error or driver failure so you'll need to knock the core clock down a bit and try again. Just make sure afterburner isn't set to start when windows starts. That way if there is an issue you can correct your settings before applying and trying again.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes.

Cheers for the advice! I used Afterburner and after some arduous stress testing I have a stable +182 boost on the core clock, so now I'm running the card at 1123mmhz. Do you use any special cooling in your case? Or just standard fans? I'm unsure if I should bother overclocking the memory clock as well. Will this bring much benefit?
