Hi I'm using a LinkSys RangePlus USB wireless network adapter to access an Xfinity wifi hotspot on my desktop computer. The problem is it is showing a yellow exclamation point by its name and I can't browse the web. Last week it was working for about a day then all of a sudden it stopped. Here is what is supposed to happen when I plug in the wifi adapter: the browser is supposed to open and allow me to enter my credentials and login. My iPad is connecting fine. I have no other routers or cable modems connected. I tried to restore my system using all my available restore points but nothing seems to help.

Xfinity is the only network in the list that has the yellow exclamation point. Oh I forgot to mention that I did connect my router directly to my computer thinking I could access my pc wirelessly with a tablet or something. But I have since disconnected the router and that to is still showing in the list of available network connections and has a yellow exclamation point beside it also. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling both my NIC and wireless adapter. I hope I havent sounded to confusing lol. Thank you all for any help.

I'm confused: Xfinity is a Comcast sponsored hotspot. it doesn't come from your desktop or your own wireless router. Can you explain a bit more clearly what you have and are trying to do?
