I have raid 0 set up I have windows 8.1 with Ubuntu 14.04 I can boot to both just fine but I have to do it in the uefi bios . I would like to have in a boot menu in grub is that possible? I have tried a few workaround with no luck.

In grub customizer it dose not show the uefi windows path at all. I tried some windows based editors but it just corrupts the boot loader.

After I installed ubunte It would not load I had to run Boot-Repair

Should be possible, don't know why it doesn't work for you. Uefi can be tricky to get working...

Maybe try disable secureboot in bios/uefi and/or disable windows fast boot

Did you by any chance turn on legacy mode instead of UEFI when you installed Ubuntu? If you did then you will be always using the BIOS to select. Reinstall Ubuntu in UEFI mode if that is the case.

How are you doing it in the BIOS? That's why I asked about the UEFI-Legacy.

Boot-repair, grub2 and Ubuntu 14.04 all support UEFI

Have you while in Ubuntu opened a terminal ctl+alt+t and tried sudo update-grub? Can you see windows OK while in Ubuntu? What does sudo fdisk -l (as in small L) give you?

I don't know much about RAID setups but your output is saying that it doesn't recognize a partition table, could be a RAID issue, I honestly don't know.
While in Ubuntu run gparted and have a look at the partitions. Also you could run sudo fdisk -l and see if either gives us a clue.
