Hello! I have an ASUS K61IC, I have been having an issue recently, the computer would shut off while idle, or playing games or whatever. It is not the temperature, they are all fine and I cleaned the fans recently, its not the BIOS, I just checked for updates, nothing obvious, if you have any suggestions on what I should do, please post them

Thanks :)

I'm going to blame heat (even though you say it isn't) to begin with. Are you monitoring CPU and GPU temps, if so with what program and what are the temps showing? When you cleaned the fans, were both fans cleaned? Were the heatsinks removed and if so, was the thermal compound and any thermal pads replaced?

Thanks for suggesting. That post was a while back, and now I have made my first computer. Currently, it is in bubblewrap sitting in a cardboard box. Turns out temps were over 80c Gaming, and 50c Idle. Both the CPU and GPU were around that temperature. Thank you for responding.
