No display signal from a Nvidia GTX 460

I recently started having issues with my previous video card's fan (ATI Raedon HD 5670), so I decided to purchase a new one. I settled on a Nvidia GTX 460, which requires a stronger PSU. I was recommended a SeaSonic S12II 520W, both parts arrived today.

The PSU works great, however I cannot get any kind of video signal from the 460 (from neither DVI port, it has no VGA, and I do not have a HDMI). There are no beeps when the computer starts up, the fan works fine, and I hear the win.7 startup sound at the login screen, so it boots just fine. If I use the onboard graphics's VGA connection, it boots normally with display, and the computer still does not detect any hardware changes. I tried to install the Nvidia drivers (GeForce 337.50, 335.23, and a version for dell's model), none of which detected any hardware.

The only unusual thing I've noticed with the card is that it only has one 6-pin port, while most 460s have two. It also has a second connector opposite of the PCI-E, which resembles PCI-E, though only about half an inch long. I checked the model number on the card, and it does match up with the 460.

If it will help any, this is the supplier and card I bought. http://www.ascendtech.us/nvidia-geforce-gtx460-1gb-dual-dvi-mhdmi_i_vidcarddelgr23p.aspx?agent=froogle

Any help would be appreciated, I am at a loss of what to do aside from attempting to return the card, and trying a different supplier.

Solution

Leave the connector on the graphics card alone. Do not change the DVI port on the graphics card. The correct input (DVI 1, DVI 2, or VGA) should be set on the monitor. There is a Menu on the monitor for doing this, and other things like Brightness, Contrast, etc.

A small update, I tried booting the computer with the 480 installed, but connecting the monitor to the onboard card. It booted, but the fan was very loud, probably running at max speed. It continued to do so after another boot, so I disconnected the 6-pin, and it acted like usual, no response aside from the fan running slowly. Also, bump.
