Computer won't boot up

I have an old IBM Aptiva that I would like to play around with, but it won't start. It turns on, but nothing shows up on the screen. It will not respond to the keyboard either.

The last time I started it was a while ago, when I tried swapping out the CPU for a slightly faster one. It didn't work. So, if I recall correctly, I never placed the correct CPU in until now, where it won't start.

I tried all kinds of things, like reseating and cleaning the contacts of the CPU, RAM and the cards that are installed. I tried blowing out dust and resetting the CMOS. It doesn't work at all. I know that before I swapped out the CPU, it functioned fine. It shouldn't have anything to do with the hard drive.

Any suggestions?

My advice is take it to geek squad and spend probably $400.00 to get this bad boy fixed, then wait a week and find out that they screwed up something else then take it back and repeat. In all honesty are there any beeps? Are you sure the CPU is supported by the mobo? etc
