Alec Mowat is right. The lower the CL, the better.

1333mhz is acceptable, but if there's not a big price difference you'd be better off with 1600mhz. Higher than 1600mhz and imo there's probably not enough of a benefit to justify the extra time and testing required to make 1866+ work on most boards.
