Can't edit GPU clock on gtx 670m

I want to overclock my gtx 670m, and I hear that clock speed is important, but when I'm using nvidia inspector, I can't edit it. It's stuck at 630 Mhz whereas the maximum is 1195, but it's just grayed out. If I can't edit it do I need the clock speed changed for more performance? Thanks

Use Afterburner. Google how to overclock that particular card before trying anything. eg http://youtu.be/93bZHFRlRVc

It won't make much difference to the performance. It might go from 40 fps to 45 fps.

What laptop do you have? Cause I guarantee you that you will not hit 1195 on it. most laptops I've seen with it can handle around 100mhz increase in clock without being throttled and start melting the laptop lol...
