Hi , I have an Intel Pentium G3220 Budget Build Rig.
The Rig is as follows : >
Intel Pentium G3220 @ 3.0 x 2 GHz ( Haswell CPU) Kingston Standard RAM ( 2 x 2
GB) @ 1333MHz Western Digital Blue 500GB HDD @ 7200RPM Gigabyte H81M-DS2
Motherboard Thermaltake 630W (SPS-630) Efficiency 87% LCD by Toshiba @ 1440 x
900 Resolution ASUS SuperDrive..
I might get a 1600 X 900 LCD later.
So I am gonna use this Rig for Quite a time , and so I am gonna buy a card for it in September.
Which one should I get for G3220 , GTX 660 or R9 270?
R9 270 is expensive in Pakistan but it is better than the 660 , So Do I really need to get the 270 and spend more money ? or I would get satisfactory performance with 660 on 900p?
Will 270 Bottleneck my CPU more than 660? So is it Pointless to get 270 for such a budget build?

Admirable
That wouldn't really be that great of a build, at 1600x900 your best bet wouild be to buy something like 750ti, and a core i3 processor. Buying a $200 gpu and then spending $60 or 70 on a processor will always lead to a person being unhappy with their build, and it also doesn't make sense. I would just save for a couple of extra weeks and buy a 1080p monitor, and then buy the 270 and the i3.

Late response, but go with a gtx 750ti and save 50$ and go with an i3 haswell.

I won't be upgrading my CPU or LCD for some time though , and I can't due to some .... reasons.
I am going to buy HD 7870 in less than a week.
I figured out that card will already be an overkill on that resolution and bottleneck my CPU a bit too.

The pentium really isn't going to be all that great, no offense. Maybe you should save up for an i5, but buy as good of a gpu as you can, and then save up for some months, and then go for a cpu, and then rinse and repeat for the lcd.

You are right I gave up on the idea ... I am not going to buy any graphics cards , Instead I have started saving money , I am going to buy a 24 HD LCD Instead which is cheaper.

Please do not leave the idea behind. The gpu upgrade will make quite a differnece. A 24" 1080p panel will be nioce, but without a gpu, it will be hard to just web browse. Worse case, go for a gtx 750/ r7 250x. Then the panel, then cpu, then the ram.

Your PSU is decent, would you consider a 650ti boost which is a little faster than a 750ti, a good match for your current cpu and you can sli a 650ti boost once you get a new cpu like an i5 for a pretty good rig in the end.
