780 ti or 290x? IN 4K I know I know but without fanboy please :)

So getting a 4K tv and want to play games on it from time to time. I am only looking for a single card solution. Am building a full new MATX system and need help on which side of the fence to land.

Rest of the system will be

Aerocool DS RED
CS750M PSU
i54760K (H75 Cooler)
Asus Gene VII Z97 (When it drops)
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB Ram 1866Mhz
120Gb Samsung Evo SSD


SO MSI Gtx 780 ti Gaming ......OR Sapphire 290x OC???

I play bioshock, borderlands, Batman, Simcity.....Will play watchdogs etc

Side note need to add some cooling fans to case for better airflow but would like it to remain quiet as possible

Unfortunately my budget on stretches to single card and only up to about £520

At 1080p the 780 TI would be better. However, since you're at 4K, the R9 290X will be better.

Keep in mind though, Borderlands 2 (not sure if you meant 1 or 2), Batman Arkham series, and Watchdogs all make heavy use of PhysX, which will allow the 780 TI much better optimization and likely some exclusive effects.

Bioshock is my top game i would love to play in 4k. Is that amd? and would i miss out for a 780ti the ram is what worries me. Is 3gb enough?
