Which motherboard do you have?
You can usually use faster RAM, it will downclock to the maximum speed (1600Mhz in this case), and you can then set the RAM speed to 2133 or whatever the speed of the RAM you have is, eg:
My Z87 PRO supports up to 1600Mhz without overclocking, but can support up to 3000Mhz with overclocking.
If your motherboard supports it, you can usually set the RAM to use XMP, which will automatically detect the optimum speed and timings for the RAM, without user input.
