MSI Z87 and new i4790

Will the new i4790 intel chip run on MSI Max Power Z87 mobo or will the BIOS create probs? If it won't fire up, how do I upgrade the BIOS? Thanks.

yep, if it isn't supported soon after release, it probably never will. You flash your CPU BIOS if supported but not working, as all BIOS's are different, you'll have to refer to your motherboard manual, as we don't have a step by step instruction for all suppliers.

Z97 will have the "best" chance for supporting that CPU, though the performance difference next to nothing but price is a little more. To be honest I don't really see the point about Z97, there is no "real" difference, should have kept it for 5xxx/k CPU's.
