yep, PCI-E X16 2.0/3.0 run at the exact same speed (X16), no performance difference at all. Just 3.0 has added BIOS features, which is no big deal.

It'll be 100% fine, no issue.

Yes performance difference is close to negligible.
Theoretically even graphics cards of today struggle with completely saturating a 8x slot for graphics card.
You can even run your card on 4X slot , performance loss will be arnd 10%.
PCIe 3.0 8X = PCIe 2.0 16X , this is what i have heard at least.

Hi shaleve543211
If you are meaning will a pcie 3.0 card work with a pcie 2.0 slot in your motherboard
the answer is yes
and as Laviniuc said it will you will not notice much difference even if the pcie 3.0 card was in a pcie 2.0 slot instead of a pcie 3.0 slot

you will notice no difference, if it is X16 2.0, looking at less than 0.5FPS, that can't even count.
